Mama Mia, here we go again.....
On November 9, the Txt Bar in South Croydon hosted a Mama Mia movie night, complete with popcorn and ice cream, and fabulous raffle . Huge thanks to Bar Manager Linda and her team who looked after us all and helped us to raise £250. Special thank you to singer Michelle who sang Abba tunes for free, and to everyone for their donations.
Shocking The Grande Bretagne !
The Grande Bretagne Hotel in Athens is a wonderful palatial building, with a spectacular view of the Acropolis from the top floor Bar. We couldn’t find much pink stuff in the city, so we persuaded some conference delegates to join in a late night photocall.....
Who is Julia Triston?
We visited Durham in August. On the way back to the hotel, we walked through Fowlers Yard, past Julia’s workshop. I met Julia and her amazing bra ra dresses for the first time. She planned to make one out of pink bras to wear on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square in September. Back in London, I knocked on stage doors in search of celebrity donors – and met Jerry Hall and June Brown during their break at the Calendar Girls Stage Door! Click on the link to visit Julia’s website, read about her projects, the Fourth Plinth and her plans to auction the pink bra ra dress for Breakthrough Breast Cancer . Here’s a taste of Durham and Julia’s wonderful dresses, including the pink one!!
